AMCARE regularly hosts fund raising events such as the Cycling Challenge, a Family Fun Walk, our annual Spring Festival, concerts etc in order to generate additional income for our activities.
Willowcreek Courageous Leadership Awards
The Alberton Methodist Church had an "Honourable" Mention at the Willowcreek 2009 Courageous Leadership Awards Honouring Churches impacting the AIDS pandemic. The Judges had the following comments: "Alberton Methodist Church is doing outstanding work, providing holistic care to those infected and affected by AIDS. In addition, their commitment to educating their community about all issues surrounding the disease is changing behavior and reversing the trends. Both the Working Committee and the Selection Committee feel they are deserving of an honorable mention."
